Cylindrical tankard in a pewter frame, Prószków Slaski faience factory; 1763–1853, maker/manufacturer inscriptions. Cylindrical tankard in a pewter frame. White faience, painted in colors. From the front: a barefoot woman sitting under a tree, blouse unbuttoned revealing her breasts; her head turned to the right, she supports with her right hand a small child, dressed in a short T-shirt, running towards her from the left — interpretable as an allegorical representation of Maternitas motherhood. The representation is painted with some freedom. Late 18th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918, Silesia, Prószków Slaski. Vessel; height 24.0 cm, width 15.0 cm, depth 10.5 cm., A tall ceramic tankard with a hinged metal lid is shown against a neutral background; the tankard is primarily white with a glossy surface that shows some speckling and wear, a curved white handle on one side, and a small painted floral motif in blue and green on the body. The hinged lid and fittings are metal with a dark, tarnished gray finish and decorative ridged and circular patterns, and the lid has a round metal knob. The base also has a metal rim in a similar dark gray color.
