Amphora vase, Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg 1744–1917. Amphora vase with an ovoid belly, slender neck flaring at the top, high foot on a square plinth. Two handles in the form of swans. Colorfully painted: trails of small flowers on the foot, neck, and lower part of the belly. On the belly, two miniatures depicting genre scenes in a rural landscape: a woman with a pole water carrier siudy, koromyslo and a couple with a dog. Base cracked and glued. Early 19th century, Russia, St. Petersburg. Figurine/vase. Height 26.5 cm, width 11.0 cm, depth 9.0 cm., A white porcelain ewer with a flared rim and a narrow neck widening into an ovoid body stands on a square base; it has a sculpted handle shaped like a stylized swan or curved motif running from rim to shoulder, and the rim, base edges, and some decorative bands are highlighted in gold. The body and neck feature painted floral garlands in blue and green, and a painted pastoral scene with green trees, brown fencing, and muted landscape colors is wrapped around the central part of the body. The piece shows delicate painted detailing in shades of white, gold, blue, green, and muted earth tones against a neutral gray background.
