Amphora vase with an ovoid body and a slender neck that flares upward. Slender, tall foot on a square plinth. Two handles in the form of swans. Neck, foot, and lower body decorated with a colorful trail of small flowers. On the belly, two miniatures depicting rural landscape scenes: a woman doing laundry, leaning over a tub on a low table while a man with a dog watches; and two men with their arms around each other, one holding a bottle, a third leaning forward in the background. Early 19th century, Russia, St. Petersburg. Figurine/vase. Height 26.5 cm; width 11.0 cm; depth 9.0 cm., A tall porcelain vase with a flared rim and a single curved handle is shown against a gray background; the vase is primarily white with painted floral garlands in blue and green near the rim and base, gold accents along the rim, handle, and pedestal, and a painted pastoral scene on the body depicting a figure in orange clothing near a brown house, trees with green foliage, and earthy tones of brown and green in the landscape.
