Night Lamp, Popow, Alexander porcelain manufacturer; 1806–1872 author, lamps, landscapes with architecture, neo-Gothic style, plant motifs. Lamp composed of three parts: base, lamp, and cover. Base with a horizontal row of holes on each side creating a decorative trail. Lamp in the form of a cube, in the neo-Gothic style; on the arcades in the shape of a tracery painted colorful landscapes: two with motifs of flowering bushes primrose and jasmine, floral motifs against the background of a landscape, two landscapes with an architectural motif. 19th century, Russia, Gorbunovo. Height 32.2 cm, width 13 cm., A tall, narrow decorative object with a pointed, white roof textured with a scale pattern and gold accents sits against a plain gray background; below the roof is a band with gold trim above a front panel framed by vertical borders patterned in pale green and pink, the top of the panel showing an arch design in blue, red, pink, and gold with a small circular opening, and the main panel depicting a painted scene of a plant with green leaves and multicolored flowers set against a light blue sky and muted landscape; the base is white with gold trim and a row of circular cutouts accented in gold, and the overall color palette includes white, gold, pink, blue, red, green, and gray.
