Plate with a 6-part collar with a Catherine relief around the edge and decoration in black print, a pattern of exotic Liverpool birds in the mirror and on six segments of the collar a peacock and pheasant motif in a summed landscape. c. 1765–1770, England, possibly Burslem or Derby. Earthenware plate, height 2.2 cm, diameter 24.0 cm., A scalloped ceramic plate with a pale cream surface and black decorative illustrations, featuring a central scene of two birds standing on a grassy mound surrounded by small plants, a few scattered marks on the surface, and a few smaller bird and foliage motifs arranged around the rim; the background is a solid gray.
