Vase with lid with Imari decoration, Kaiserliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Wien 1744–1864. Hemispherical vase with a separated bottom rim. Flat-arched lid with a button-rosette handle. Around the body, in a quadripartite arrangement, is Imari decoration continuing onto the lid: two fan-shaped 14-petal rosettes in brick red and cobalt blue with gilding, alternating with a fan-shaped cluster of lanceolate leaves with lotus flowers at the base of the bottom rim and two smaller tufts of leaves on the sides, and a peony shoot-branch with two full brick-red flowers and two buds; between the four motifs at the bottom are green and brick-red star-flowers and small leaves. Gilded rosette handle with a cobalt disc and a brick-red volute around the base. At the bottom, a double cobalt border with an inscribed signature in the center. Mid-19th century. 18th century, Austria, Vienna. Decorative vessel; height 20.5 cm, diameter 21.5 cm., A lidded ceramic vessel sits against a neutral gray background, showing a rounded body with a slightly domed lid and a small knob on top. The surface is white and decorated with floral motifs in red, green, blue, and gold, including a prominent red flower with layered petals surrounded by green leaves and blue-accented foliage; similar floral patterns wrap around the vessel and appear on the lid. The knob has a gold tone with subtle darker accents, and there are gold highlights outlining some leaves and decorative elements. The vessel rests on a short, slightly raised foot and its glossy finish produces soft reflections on the surface below.
