Vase with Imari decoration, Kaiserliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Wien 1744–1864 manufacturer — Praglowski, Jan fl. ca. 1954 signature inscribed at bottom. Hemispherical vase with a separated bottom rim. Around the belly in a 4-part arrangement Imari decoration: two fan-shaped rosettes half-rosettes in brick red and cobalt with gilding alternating with a fan-shaped cluster of lanceolate leaves with lotus flowers and two smaller tufts of leaves on the sides, and a shoot-branch of a peony with a full brick-red flower and bud. Between the four motifs at the bottom are green and brick-red flower-stars and small leaves. The decoration is cut off at the edge the motif continues on the cover. Mid-18th century, Vienna, Austria. Decorative vessel. Height 15.3 cm; diameter 21.5 cm., A rounded lidded porcelain vessel sits against a plain gray background, decorated with floral motifs in red, green, blue, and gold on a white ground; the lid has a small domed knob with gold and darker accents, and the body shows a group of stylized flowers and leaves connected by sinuous blue stems with gold highlights, with additional touches of green on leaves and small red blossoms around the larger red flower.
