Vase with Imari decoration, Kaiserliche Porzellanmanufaktur in Wien 1744–1864. Hemispherical vase with a separated bottom rim. Around the belly in a four-part arrangement Imari decoration: two fan-shaped rosettes half-rosettes in brick red and cobalt with gilding alternating with a fan-shaped cluster of lanceolate leaves with lotus flowers and two smaller tufts of leaves on the sides, and a shoot-branch of a peony with a full brick-red flower and bud. Between the four motifs at the bottom are green and brick-red flower-stars and small leaves. The decoration is cut off at the edge the motif continues on the cover. At the bottom is a double cobalt border with a centrally inscribed signature. Mid-18th century, Vienna, Austria. Decorative vessel; height 15.3 cm, diameter 21.5 cm., A rounded ceramic jar with a lid sits against a plain gray background; the jar is primarily white with decorative floral and foliate motifs in red, green, blue, and gold, including a large circular petal-like medallion in red, blue, and gold on the lid and upper body, smaller stylized flowers and leaves in red, green, and blue around the lower body, and a small rounded gold and blue finial on the lid.
