Armchair, plant decoration, knobs ornament, Biedermeier style, Louis Philippe style. ARMCHAIR veneered with mahogany, with a trapezoidal upholstered seat removable cushion and a balloon-shaped openwork backrest fastened in the middle with a decorative crossbar with a wavy outline. The front legs are turned, profiled; the rear legs are angular, arched backwards. The armrests are S-shaped with volute ends, supported by S-shaped supports. The finial features carved acanthus leaves; the centre of the backrest crossbar and the volutes of the armrests and their supports feature decorative, profiled knobs. 1835–1845. Possibly Warsaw. Height 115.5 cm, width 63 cm, depth 59 cm., A wooden armchair with a curved backrest and carved crest, a carved horizontal back slat with a round carved detail, scrolled armrests with carved circular accents, a padded seat upholstered in a pale yellow fabric, turned front legs and straight back legs, all set against a light gray background; visible colors include dark brown wood, pale yellow upholstery, and light gray background.
