Porcelain pot-pourri vase with hemispherical body slightly closing at the top, almost flat shoulders, and a wide neck that slopes obliquely. Low stem widening into a round, wide foot. Neck, base of the belly, and foot enclosed in a wreath of plastic shell ornament painted purple. Two landscapes with buildings against a background of trees on the body. Hat-like cover with a brim enclosed in a shell ornament; top features a plastic decoration of colorful flowers with a floral handle. Dated 1769–1771. Germany, Cologne. Vessel; height 37 cm, width 26 cm., A white ceramic vessel with a rounded body, pedestal base, and a domed lid decorated with sculpted green leaves and small purple and pink flowers; the vessel features scalloped edges highlighted in purple along the top, middle, and base, and a painted landscape scene on the body showing a small building with a tower, surrounding trees, and ground in green and brown tones; the overall colors visible include white, purple, green, pink, brown, and hints of red, set against a neutral gray background.
