Vessel - flowerpot, cache-pot vessel. Vessel in the shape of a cylindrical flowerpot with profiled rollers at the base and spout. Decorated throughout with a stylized, fleshy plant twig in the form of an acanthus with flowers. On the forehead is a cartouche with the five-field coat of arms beneath a royal crown. The elaborate cartouche is supported by two lions rampant, with symbols of a griffin holding a pennant. Below the coat of arms is the date 1747. Green plant decoration with ochre flowers, blue cartouche shades ranging from navy blue to light blue. A hole in the bottom for draining water. 1747, Italy, Caltagirone, height 74 cm, width 31 cm.
