Cabinet, Empire style, mahogany veneered and polished, 1815–1825, possibly Warsaw. One-piece cabinet with a slightly rounded front closed by double doors, supported by four low angular tapering legs terminating in feet shaped like animal paws. Front corners chamfered with herm pilasters; top has a wide frame raised in the center and projecting like a cornice. Door leaves framed with single panels and cubes in the corners; back framed with two panels. Decor includes female busts, herm feet and leg slopes cast in cast iron; brass hinges. Height 83 cm, width 113 cm, depth 56.3 cm., A wooden cabinet with both doors open revealing an interior shelf and a lower compartment, the wood showing reddish-brown and lighter brown tones with visible grain and some wear, the top surface flat with a central raised rectangular section, the cabinet standing on short tapered legs with small decorative metallic feet that are a dark brass color, the doors panelled and hinged at the sides, and the background a smooth light gray.
