Plate, Delft ca. 1600–, De Porcelejne Bijl faience manufactory; 1657–1803, busts, gift, princes, portraits of monarchs, plant decorations, letters. In the mirror, a chiaroscuro portrait of a man in left profile, painted in cobalt, with a ribbon and the letters WP 5 PVOR. The portrait depicts Prince William V 1748–1806, ruler of Orange. The inscription can be translated as Willem Rex Prins Van ORanie. Similar plates were produced after 1787 in Delft. 2nd half of the 18th century, Netherlands, Delft. Dish; height 5 cm, width 23.5 cm., A round ceramic dish with a pale off-white background and a yellowish rim, decorated in blue with a central circular portrait of a person in profile surrounded by a decorative ribbon-like frame, blue floral and leafy motifs around the inner edge, and blue shading and detailing throughout.
