Pedestal cabinet, single-leaf with a drawer at the top, supported by a prominent plinth; veneered with mahogany, with profiled, carved, gilded and painted cornices and applied decoration on the doors. The edges of the door leaf and drawer faces and the corresponding front edges of the walls are diagonally cut. The molding around the plinth is decorated with a dark green and gilded leaf ornament, the cornice under the top is decorated with rosettes set in a rhomboidal grid. The upper section of the door features a bas-relief woman's head, below it a lotus flower with a keyhole; on the drawer face is a gilded wooden handle in the shape of a mushroom. Originally four shelves inside. The drawer bottom is recessed from the back. A single-bolt, self-locking steel mortise-and-apply lock. Brass pintle hinges.
