Table, provenance, animal paws; Empire style; cymatium ornament. Round tilting top supported by a hexagonal shaft forked into a tripod, lacquered black. Arched legs topped with gilded and black-painted feet in the shape of animal paws. Shaft widened in the lower section, separated from the upper section by a gilded strip with a lesene cymatium. Top reinforced from below with two slatted pins that are part of the hinge, mounted on a block crowning the stem. Steel latch, mortise-and-apply, with a steel catch mounted on the side of the top. Dated 1810–1825, Central Europe. Piece of furniture; height 74 cm, diameter 85 cm., The image shows a round wooden table with a dark surface and a single central pedestal base that splits into a group of curved legs ending in carved feet; the table and legs are primarily black with areas of worn lighter wood and small patches of gold or brass-colored detailing, set against a light gray background.
