Openwork basket with an oval, mandorla-like cross-section and parted walls formed by two layers of rollers rotating diagonally in opposite directions. Top enclosed in a band of three rollers; bottom finished in a braided-rope form. Interior bottom fitted with an oval plate. Surface decorated with a blue wallpaper pattern. Abrasions to the glaze and slight chipping on the rim. Dated 1840–1860. Poland; Cmielów. Ceramic vessel. Height 6.5 cm; length 30.5 cm; width 18.5 cm., A shallow oval woven basket with an open lattice structure made from twisted strips, covered in a patterned surface showing white and blue as the dominant colors with small areas of beige and faint gray; the weave creates curved diagonal openings around the sides and a flat base with a floral-like motif, all set against a plain light gray background.
