Semi-ovoidal vase on a low pedestal base with sharply broken edges and tapering concave profile. Vertical handles extend slightly beyond the vase width and rise high as fan-shaped fluted leaves. Decorated with a blue print in a wallpaper pattern. Shape based on Wedgwood products see 1817 catalogue, pl.7, fig.146. Made by Cmielów faience and porcelain factory est. 1804. Prints/wallpaper patterns, unknown provenance. Dated 1840–1860, Poland. Vessel; height 16.0 cm, width 20.0 cm, depth 32.0 cm., A ceramic bowl with a pedestal and attached saucer is shown against a plain background; the bowl has two large looped handles and is covered in an intricate floral and foliate pattern rendered in blue on a white ground, with the interior of the bowl appearing mostly white with slight blue mottling, and the background and reflected surface showing shades of gray.
