Sofa, upholstered seat, backrest, armrests, carved, lacquered white and green. Front legs turned, fluted, on round feet; rear legs angular, flowing into the side stiles of the backrest, topped with cubes with rosettes. Rectangular seat, upholstered on springs. Straight frame, wavy-cut at the bottom, with cubes above the front legs. Upper backrest stile covered with upholstery. Arched armrests at the connection with the side stiles of the backrest, volute-shaped at the front, on angular, arched-concave and fluted supports at the front. The stiles, the fields in the center of the upper surface of the armrests, and the rosettes in the cubes of the backrest stiles are lacquered green. Green paint marks the edges of the frame elements. The whole is upholstered with a cotton jacquard fabric with floral garlands. Early 20th century, Central Europe; possibly East Prussia. Seating furniture; height 96 cm, width 139 cm, depth 66 cm., A worn upholstered settee with a patterned fabric in a muted beige tone, showing areas of fraying and wear, mounted on a painted wooden frame in pale green and white with distressed surfaces; the arms have padded rests covered in the same beige fabric with visible tears, and the back cushion is tall and fully upholstered in the same patterned beige fabric; the front apron and turned legs are painted pale green with white highlights and show chipped paint and scuffs, and a plain wooden support at the rear appears unfinished and rough.
