Mahogany chair with padded seat and high openwork backrest, carved decoration; square legs—front S-shaped with volute feet, arched rear legs; wavy frame with rounded front corners and overlay cushion seat. Backrest framed by straight stiles continuing the rear legs, topped by a board with a symmetrical wavy-cut outline highlighted by carved acanthus appliqués. Backrest filling has two straight stiles with astragalus, joined and topped with acanthus leaf arrangements, and a narrow lower stile arched between the stiles. Plant decoration: acanthus ornament; Louis Philippe style. Dated 1850–1860, Poland possibly Warsaw. Seating furniture; height 118.5 cm, width 51 cm, depth 53 cm., The image shows a mostly gray area occupying the lower portion and center, with a thin band of light gray and white along the top edge; visible colors include gray and white.
