Chair, acanthus ornament, plant decoration, Louis Philippe style, mahogany chair with a padded seat and a high openwork backrest, with carved decoration. Square legs, S-shaped at the front with volute feet, and arched rear legs. Wavy frame with rounded front corners, with a seat in the form of an overlay cushion. The backrest is framed on the sides by straight stiles extending the rear legs, topped with a board with a symmetrical, wavy-cut outline, emphasized by carved acanthus appliqués. The filling has two straight stiles covered with astragalus, topped and fastened together with acanthus leaf arrangements, and a narrow lower stile, arched between the stiles. 1850–1860, Poland, possibly Warsaw, seating furniture, furniture; height 118.3 cm, width 50.8 cm, depth 54.5 cm., A wooden chair with a carved backrest and turned vertical supports, finished in a warm brown tone, features ornate scrollwork at the top and a carved floral motif in the center of the back; the seat is upholstered in a dark fabric patterned with floral designs in shades of gold and brown, and the chair rests on curved front legs and straighter back legs, all in the same brown wood.
