Double-sided gingerbread form; obverse: image of Madonna and Child, reverse: two rectangles with floral ornaments. Double-sided rectangular form; on one side a figure of the Virgin Mary in a large patterned robe, surrounded by children—two sitting on her lap, the other three at her feet—with a German inscription at the bottom: DIE LIEBE IS BEI MIR SO GROS ACH NIM / MICH IN DEINEM SCHOS. The other side features two long rectangular frames filled with floral ornament. Gingerbread mold, decorative folk motifs, religious iconography Madonna, Christianity. 18th–19th century, Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918. Height 19 cm, width 11 cm, depth 3.3 cm., A long narrow wooden object with a rectangular cross-section shown vertically against a pale gray background, the wood surface is dark brown with lighter brown and tan worn areas, small scattered round holes and some scratches visible, the top edge is slightly rounded and the bottom edge is more blunt and worn, the wood grain and patchy discoloration are apparent.
