Double-sided gingerbread form. Obverse: image of the Madonna and Child; reverse: two rectangles with floral ornaments. Double-sided rectangular form; on one side a figure of the Virgin Mary in a large patterned robe, surrounded by children—two sitting on her lap, three at her feet—with a German inscription at the bottom: DIE LIEBE IS BEI MIR SO GROS ACH NIM / MICH IN DEINEM SCHOS. The other side: two long rectangular frames filled with floral ornament. Materials: gingerbread decorative art, folk motifs. Iconography: Madonna Christianity, religious motifs, children, plant ornaments. Date: 18th–19th century. Region: Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 19 cm, width 11 cm, depth 3.3 cm., A rectangular carved wooden panel with a brown surface showing a worn, polished patina and numerous small holes; the carving depicts a seated central figure with long wavy hair and a flowing garment holding or interacting with two smaller childlike figures, and below them a group of reclining and seated figures surrounded by draped fabric and decorative carved patterns; the panel edges are rounded at the top and straighter at the bottom, and the visible colors include shades of brown, darker brown in recessed areas, and a neutral gray background behind the panel.
