Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: board with letters of the alphabet; reverse: image of a running wild boar. Folk-style decorations; iconography includes wild boar and alphabet. Double-sided rectangular mould; on one side a decorative board with the letters of the alphabet carved on it; the other side: image of a wild boar running across a meadow. On one edge there is a date engraved: 1806, between the digits of the date the letter S on the background of an anchor the mark of the woodcarver or gingerbread maker — the owner of the form. Materials/function: form for gingerbread woodcarving. Date: 1806. Origin: Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 16 cm, width 12 cm, depth 3 cm., A rectangular wooden board with a carved vertical panel near one edge showing a grid of letter-shaped indentations and a decorative floral motif at the top; the wood shows areas of wear and darker stains, with visible grain and small circular marks, and colors include brown, dark brown, tan, and a gray background.
