Double-sided gingerbread form. Obverse: figure of an angel with the alphabet. Reverse: various floral ornaments. Double-sided rectangular form; on one side a male figure probably an angel standing, in a costume richly decorated with plant ornament, girded with two sashes, holding a decorative board with the alphabet inscribed; above the figure's head a halo; in the background a feather and flame motif possible angel wings. The other side: rectangular field filled with floral and plant decoration, including the head of a baby. At the top a signature: initials G and R mark of the woodcarver or gingerbread maker/workshop owner. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Material/type: form. Height 32.3 cm, width 13 cm, depth 2 cm., A tall rectangular wooden panel with a dark brown surface showing a vertical crack and several small dents and scratches, with a carved rectangular decorative panel near the bottom featuring floral and foliate motifs and a small carved face, set against a flat neutral gray background; visible colors include brown, dark brown, light brown, gray, and hints of black.
