Double-sided gingerbread form. Obverse: figure of an angel with the alphabet. Reverse: various floral ornaments. Double-sided form with a rectangular shape; on one side a male figure probably an angel in a standing position, in a costume richly decorated with plant ornament, girded with two sashes, holding a decorative board with the alphabet inscribed on it; above the figure's head a halo; in the background a feather and flame motif angel wings?. The other side: rectangular field filled with floral and plant decoration, among which the head of a baby. At the top a signature: initials G and R mark of the woodcarver or gingerbread maker/owner of the workshop. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Material: form. Height 32.3 cm; width 13 cm; depth 2 cm., A rectangular carved wooden panel with a carved figure in relief occupying the upper portion and a framed rectangular carved panel below; the figure has a round halo-like disk behind the head and a stylized face with carved hair, wearing a patterned garment and holding the top of the lower framed panel, with carved radiating feather-like shapes around the head forming a winged or fan-like surround; the wood shows natural grain and age with visible cracks and a hanging element at the top, and the colors visible are shades of brown in the wood, darker brown in the carved recesses, and a neutral gray background.
