Double-sided gingerbread mould, rectangular, wood, height 29 cm, width 10.5 cm, depth 2.4 cm. Maker inscription on the edge: Glauer: signature of the woodcarver or gingerbread maker and the date j.1827. Dated 1826. One side: twelve small images of animals two horses, two roosters, two crayfish, and two storks carrying babies in baskets and two decorative pipes. Other side: miniature elements including children in swaddling blankets, shoes, footwraps, a cradle, a guitar, and other motifs adorned with plant and geometric ornaments. Decorated with folk, zoomorphic, plant, and geometric motifs; function: form for gingerbread. Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918., A rectangular wooden panel carved with a variety of shallow relief shapes and patterns, showing a few elongated sock-like forms, a guitar-shaped outline, several curved and geometric motifs, and a group of decorative bands and floral-like medallions; the panel surface is brown with darker carved recesses and faint lighter worn areas, set against a pale gray background.
