Rectangular form; on one side a female figure in a long patterned dress with a neckline, wearing a helmet decorated with a plume, holding a sword in one hand and a roll of paper in the other, wearing shoes, with a plant ornament at the bottom. The other side shows a male figure in armor resembling Roman legionary or Greek hoplite armor, wearing a similar plume-decorated helmet, holding a shield bearing two crossed swords and a crown in one hand and a javelin in the other, a sword girded at his side, wearing sandals, with a plant ornament at the bottom. 18th–19th century, Silesia Province 1742–1918. Height 59 cm, width 22 cm, depth 4.5 cm., A carved wooden panel depicting a standing armored figure wearing a helmet with a crest and a plume, holding a spear in one hand and a round shield in the other; the figure has carved facial features including eyes, a mustache, and a beard, and is dressed in layered armor with detailed patterned textures and a skirt-like lower garment, with a sheathed sword at the waist and strapped footwear; the panel shows carved decorative motifs around the figure and the wood surface has natural grain and variations in brown tones, set against a pale gray background with a few subtle shadows.
