Rectangular form: one side shows a female figure in a long patterned dress with a neckline, wearing a helmet with a plume, holding a sword in one hand and a roll of paper in the other, wearing shoes; plant ornament at the bottom. Other side shows a male figure in armor resembling Roman legionary or Greek hoplite armor, wearing a similar plumed helmet, holding a shield with two crossed swords and a crown in one hand and a javelin in the other, a sword girded at his side, wearing sandals; plant ornament at the bottom. 18th–19th century, Silesia Province 1742–1918. Form. Height 59 cm, width 22 cm, depth 4.5 cm., A long narrow vertical wooden plank with a worn brown surface positioned against a pale gray background, showing a few small rectangular affixed patches and labels on its upper half and some darker rectangular areas of wear; colors visible include brown on the wood and pale gray in the background, with small accents of darker brown on the worn spots.
