Double-sided rectangular form with: on one side a male figure with a moustache in a hussar uniform, wearing a fur-lined jacket, standing with legs slightly apart, leaning on a sabre held in his right hand, wearing a high shako topped by a two-headed eagle decorated with a tassel; plant ornament at the bottom. Other side: stylized elongated fish covered with scales, shown in profile. Materials/function: form for gingerbread; applied/folk decorative art; historic costume depiction. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 28.7 cm; width 11.7 cm; depth 3.5 cm., soldiers, hussars, uniforms, fish ornament, sabres, customs, folk motifs, male figures., A rectangular wooden block sits on a pale gray surface, carved lengthwise with a recessed fish-shaped form showing a textured scale pattern and a rounded head area; the block has a dark brown, weathered wood tone with visible grain, worn edges, small cracks, and slightly uneven surfaces, and the background and surrounding area appear light gray.
