Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: Madonna and Child, Madonna crowned, long patterned dress, surrounded by a double oval inner frame forming tongues of flame and an outer laurel-wreath frame. Reverse: two standing figures a man and a woman in courtly costume — bachelor and lady in richly decorated 17th–18th-century dress: man with long wig, justaucorps, pantaloons/culottes and stockings; woman with wig, long dress with neckline, bottom decorated with plant tendril. Plant ornaments, religious motifs and symbols. Applied art; decorative art. Gingerbread mould, form rectangular. 18th–19th century. Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Height 20.3 cm, width 10 cm, depth 3.5 cm., A vertical rectangular wooden beam with a weathered surface fills the center of the image against a smooth neutral gray background; the wood shows a range of brown tones from dark to medium with visible grain, scratches, small holes, dents, and patches where the finish is worn, and there are a few lighter beige worn spots and darker stain marks along its length.
