Folk-style decorations and figurative scenes with geometric and plant ornaments; motifs include horn musical instrument, cradles, houses, male figure. Double-sided rectangular form richly decorated with various geometric motifs; man wears patterned clothes and a hat with a feather. 18th–19th century, Silesia Province 1742–1918. Materials: form for gingerbread applied/decorative art. Height 30 cm, width 13.8 cm, depth 2 cm., A rectangular wooden panel carved in brown tones shows a full-length stylized figure in low relief wearing a patterned outfit and a hat, holding a curved object near the chest; the figure has a carved beard and facial features with closed eyes, and the clothing and legs are decorated with repeating geometric and floral motifs; the base of the panel shows carved plant-like forms and the wood surface has visible grain, cracks, and variations in brown and tan hues against a neutral gray background.
