Rectangular mould: one side shows a rider in a military uniform decorated with braiding, likely a hussar, wearing a high mirliton-type headdress and holding a sabre, with plant decoration at the bottom. The other side depicts a rider in a different military uniform, wearing a cap with a feather, holding a pole weapon lance, with a sabre at his side and the horse’s head covered decoratively; decorative plant motifs at the bottom. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Form: double-sided. Height 17.2 cm; width 9 cm; depth 2 cm., A rectangular wooden panel with a carved relief of a mounted figure occupies the center. The panel is brown with lighter and darker wood grain variations. The carved scene shows a person seated on a horse; the person wears a pointed headpiece and a garment with a laced or patterned front and visible folds. The horse has a detailed head with carved mane and facial features, and its body shows carved decorative patterns. The carved base beneath the horse includes stylized foliage motifs. The wood surface shows tool marks, small holes, and areas of wear and smoothing, and the background around the carving is mostly plain wood. The overall colors visible are shades of brown and beige with subtle variations from the carving and surface texture.
