Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: decorative pipe with fluted decoration; on the stem the letter A in an oval; at the mouthpiece two decorative tassels. Reverse: nine stylized fish covered with scales, arranged in a row. Folk-style decorations; applied/decorative art; gingerbread mould. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Form rectangular; height 22.7 cm, width 11.5 cm, depth 3.5 cm., A rectangular wooden block with a vertical arrangement of a few carved fish motifs in relief running down its center, the carvings showing fish bodies with textured scale patterns and stylized fins and tails; the wood shows variations in tone and grain with knots and small imperfections, and colors visible include brown tones in the carved panel and a gray background surrounding the block.
