Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: genre scene; reverse: three depictions. Double-sided rectangular mould made of Schwabach. Obverse: genre scene depicting a man standing by a washtub washing, behind him a woman holding a baby in swaddling clothes; below a plaque with an inscription in German. Reverse: three motifs — bottom left, a rider in a hat on a horse; above him a rectangular recess containing a second rectangle with the letters I and B carved, surrounded by geometric and plant ornaments; on the right, a tripartite rectangular recess with a vertical strip of floral decoration in each segment; above it carved initials A and H. Iconography includes babies, children, riders, floral and plant motifs, and social satire. Date: 18th–19th century. Region: Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Form dimensions: height 24.7 cm, width 16.8 cm, depth 4.2 cm., A vertical rectangular wooden block with worn rounded ends is centered against a plain light gray background; the wood shows a dark brown patina with lighter and darker brown variations, visible scratches and radial cracks, small holes, and areas of surface wear and roughness.
