Genre scenes; gingerbread mould; folk-style decorations; baptisms; floral and plant motifs; applied decorative art; figurative scenes; historical costumes. Double-sided rectangular mould: on one side a genre scene depicting a baptism—group of figures in 17th–18th-century costumes; centre a bearded man, probably a priest or pastor, holding a child over a baptismal font, next to him three women in long patterned dresses; the whole group surrounded by an arched window decorated with rich geometric and plant ornament. On the other side a large leaf-shaped ornament containing interwoven floral and plant motifs. 18th–19th century, Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Form: height 26 cm, width 14.5 cm, depth 2.7 cm., A carved wooden panel with a rectangular shape and rounded top showing an arched carved scene framed by draped curtains and decorative motifs, carved figures standing under the arch including a central bearded figure flanked by other figures, a carved pedestal or table with an object on it in front of them, ornate patterned details on clothing and curtain folds, visible carved holes along the arch edges, and a worn brown wood surface with variations in tone and areas of lighter and darker brown.
