Inscribed; figurative motifs of Gospel/Passion scenes and human figures. 17th century, Scandinavia. Vessel. Height 23.5 cm, width 20.5 cm., An intricately carved wooden vessel with a domed lid and a curved handle sits against a plain neutral background; the vessel displays detailed relief scenes around its cylindrical body and ornate scrolling decorations on the handle and lid, with small round insets visible on the lid and handle; the object is predominantly brown with lighter ivory-colored round accents and subtle variations in wood tone, set on a gray backdrop.
