Women's ankle boots made of graphite full-grain leather with red leather uppers tied on the outside and inside with a red ribbon. Thin, symmetrical leather soles with bevelled toes and no heels. Canvas lining, white leather endpapers. On the endpaper an oval company label reads: Berlin / 23 Jäger str / Fabrique de chassures / pour les Dames / Berlin / 23 Jäger str / Damen / Schuh-fabrik von / CP Schröder. The upper is machine-sewn; the lining is hand-sewn. Ca. 1850, Berlin. Footwear; clothing. Dimensions: height 10 cm, width 5.5 cm, length 25.5 cm., A pair of pointed shoes with a glossy dark lower portion and a textured upper portion in a deep red, each shoe showing frayed red fabric ties and rough edges, set against a pale gray background with soft shadows beneath.
