Flat women's slippers of white satin, top edge finished with ribbon. Flat-cut toes, symmetrical leather soles. Endpaper and back lining of white leather, front lining of canvas. On the endpaper of both slippers there is an octagonal, oblong company label: Jan Kólazenski / in Kalisz / at Market Square No. 18. Made by Jan Kólazenski, Kalisz; shoemaker's workshop, ca. 1830–1850. Women's footwear, slippers; height 6 cm, length 23.7 cm., A worn fabric slipper sits sideways on a plain background, showing a rounded toe and a low, flat sole; the fabric appears creased and frayed with visible stitching along the top edge and a small tied bow near the opening. The slipper's surface shows uneven discoloration and spots, with areas of dirt and wear, and some loose threads along the seams and lower edge. The visible colors are off-white, beige, light brown, and gray, with a darker brown sole.
