Flat women's slippers of white satin with top edge finished with ribbon. Flat-cut toes, symmetrical leather soles. Endpaper and back lining of white leather, front lining of canvas. On the endpaper of both slippers there is an octagonal, oblong company label: Jan Kólazenski / in Kalisz / at Market Square No. 18. Maker: Jan Kólazenski, shoemaker's workshop, Kalisz; ca. 1830–1850. Function: women's footwear; materials: satin, leather, canvas. Dimensions: height 6 cm, length 23.7 cm., A single worn shoe-like textile object rests on a flat surface against a plain background, showing a soft, slightly wrinkled fabric exterior in shades of off-white and beige with areas of darker beige and faint grayish smudging; the shape is elongated and flattened with a pointed toe and a low, rounded heel, seams and stitching are visible along the top edge and side, and there are loose threads and frayed fabric near the opening and along some seams.
