Religious scenes, saints, floral and plant ornaments; liturgical vestment, church paraments, sacred art. Chasuble made of solid fabric with a floral pattern, with embroidered columns. On the front column: figure of St. John the Evangelist holding a chalice with a snake; below, a cartouche with the Slepowron coat of arms and the letters TLSD around it. On the back column: Mary and Child on a crescent; below, a kneeling Saint Bridget with the inscription around her head: SM BRIGITTA. Stylized floral motifs embroidered in the background of the columns. Columns and sides trimmed with gold bobbin lace. 17th century. Fabric possibly Spanish; embroidery Polish. Liturgical vestment. Dimensions: length 100 cm, width 69 cm back., An embroidered textile panel with a central vertical composition flanked by decorative borders, showing a stylized standing figure holding a smaller figure above a second robed figure, rendered in metallic gold and silver threads with accents of blue and pale green; the background and borders include floral and foliate motifs worked in gold and cream tones, and the edges are trimmed with gold braid and a narrow band that shows blue interwoven with gold; overall colors visible are gold, silver, cream, blue, pale green, and touches of darker brown in the hair and facial areas.
