Lace fragment, bobbin lace, one edge finished with picots. 17th century, Flanders. Width 6.5 cm, length 31 cm., No background. Repossession, A rectangular strip of crocheted lace in off-white and beige tones lies flat against a smooth gray background, showing an openwork pattern of interconnected loops and small circular holes; the top and bottom edges run mostly straight with slight irregularities while the left and right ends are frayed, and a small rectangular fabric tag is attached near the top left corner; there are a few tiny darker brown spots on the lace and subtle variations in the off-white color across the piece.
