Chasuble, liturgical vestment, 18th–19th century, Poland. Back: sides of smooth dark red velvet. Column of white damask with floral patterns and braid and sewn-on stars of the Order of the White Eagle; on the stars the inscription Pro Fide Rege Lege. One of six stars missing. Embroidery between the stars with thin thread. Silver galloon. Cotton lining. Front: column of white damask covered with silver and gold thread embroidery featuring stars and crosses with a Latin inscription. Trimmed with silver braid. Four stars with the inscription Pro Fide Rege Lege. Damask with floral and braided patterns. Cotton lining. Length 122 cm, width 64 cm back., A flat, elongated textile laid vertically with a rounded lower edge and a curved upper section forming two angled extensions; the upper portion is a warm tan color while the lower portion is a lighter beige, and the background is a pale gray. The fabric shows visible creases and slight discoloration spots, with frayed edges at the upper extensions and small attached fabric tabs near the top. There are a few small stains and darker marks on the lower beige area, and tiny sewn patches or reinforcements near the upper center. The overall texture appears woven and slightly worn.
