Chasuble, Liturgical vestment, 1797, Poland. The back features a column embroidered with colorful silks of large flowers on a gold background; the sides are amaranth silk taffeta and the front sides red taffeta. The columns are embroidered on a gold background in zigzag twig patterns with large stylized flowers. Trimmed with silver braid in a diamond pattern with gold stripes. Cotton lining. Dimensions: length 114 cm, width 73 cm back., A textile panel with a central decorative vertical band flanked by two large pink panels; the pink areas are slightly wrinkled and show variations of lighter and darker pink. The central band has a gold background with embroidered floral motifs in colors including green, yellow, blue, white, and pink, and includes leaves and stylized blossoms. The top of the textile forms a pointed shape and the edges are trimmed with a frayed gold border. The surface shows signs of wear and some loose threads.
