The edges of the chasuble are trimmed with gold-silver braid. Blue linen lining. 18th/19th century, France. Length 95 cm, width 64 cm back., A sleeveless garment photographed flat against a light background, showing a front panel with ornate patterned fabric in shades of gold and brown with a floral and scroll motif, bordered by braided trim; the sides and inner neck area are a faded blue-green silk, and the garment shows areas of wear and patches where the underlying blue-green fabric is visible; overall colors visible include gold, brown, blue-green, and small hints of darker brown.
