Lace fragment, maker unknown possibly Kublicki Piottuch, Alfred, 1861–1945 noted, lace strip finished with flat arched teeth on one side and straight on the other; divisions corresponding to the teeth feature alternating flower calyx and rhombus motifs separated by parenthetical geometric forms. 18th century, France; lace, fabric; width 17.5 cm, length 308 cm., A horizontal strip of lace with a scalloped lower edge displaying a repeating ornate pattern in gold and beige tones against a gray background; the lace features a mesh netting base with embroidered curved motifs, floral shapes, and diamond-like medallions, along with decorative looping stitches and a textured trimmed border, showing variations of gold, beige, gray, and hints of brown.
