Lace fragment attributed to Kublicki Piottuch or Alfred 1861–1945. Lace strip finished with flat, arched teeth on one side and straight on the other. In the divisions corresponding to the teeth, an alternating flower calyx and a rhombus motif are placed, separated by parenthetical geometric forms. 18th century, France. Material: fabric, lace; width 17.5 cm, length 308 cm., A narrow strip of lace with a scalloped lower edge and a straight upper edge, featuring a repeating embroidered pattern of ornamental shapes and floral motifs; the lace is primarily gold and appears set against a gray background, with areas of fine netting and denser embroidered sections forming curved S-shaped scrolls, diamond-like lattice elements, and stylized flower clusters; the gold thread shows slight variations in sheen and texture, and there are a few loose threads and frayed edges visible along the top and at one end.
