Lace fragment, bobbin lace; section of a strip. White, with a pattern of diagonal stripes with rosettes and a meander. One edge is serrated. 19th century, Europe. Width 17.5 cm, length 395 cm., A band of lace in off-white stretches across a gray background, featuring a repeating geometric pattern of zigzag and diamond shapes interspersed with floral motifs; the lace has openwork areas with fine net-like stitching and solid woven sections, and the lower edge forms a scalloped outline with triangular arches and delicate picot-like loops.
