Fragment of a solid silk fabric, patterned with two joined branches bearing unfolded roses and small flowers arranged in an alternating rhythm. Fragment, 16 x 11.5 cm; overall cloth height 61 cm, width 23 cm. 2nd half of the 18th century, possibly Poland Grodno., A rectangular piece of fabric with a woven floral pattern lies flat against a dark background; the fabric shows a few areas of wear and repair and fraying along the edges. The textile is primarily olive green with lighter green and pale beige floral motifs repeated across it. The floral elements include stylized blossoms and leafy sprigs arranged in clusters and scattered small floral shapes. There is a vertical seam or fold near one end and a few irregular patches where the weave appears disturbed or mended. Loose threads and a small area of dense stitching are visible near one edge.
