Possible origin: Poland, Grodno., Classification: patterned silk fabric, fabric fragment., noted., A rectangular piece of woven fabric with a worn, frayed edge laid flat against a dark background, showing a repeating floral motif with stems and leaves in green on a pale beige or off-white ground; areas of the fabric show visible wear, thin spots, and a torn section with loose threads and exposed warp and weft in yellowish and greenish tones, and there are faint shiny threads that catch the light creating subtle silvery highlights across the surface.
