Double-sided gingerbread mould. Side A: figure of a lady in a decorative, pleated dress from the beginning of the 19th century, holding a bouquet of roses. Side B: stylised fish shown in profile, covered with scales. Rectangular wooden mould with an engraved date 1808 on the edge; in the middle of the date the letter S against the background of an anchor mark of the woodcarver or gingerbread maker. Materials: wood; type: form. Subject motifs: female figure in historical costume, flowers, fish, zoomorphic and folk motifs. Origin: Silesia Province of Silesia, 1742–1918. Dimensions: height 19.8 cm, width 7.3 cm, depth 4 cm. Maker: unknown woodcarver or gingerbread maker., A rectangular wooden board with rounded corners occupying most of the image, showing a worn brown surface with visible grain and several long dark cracks running diagonally and horizontally; the board has areas of lighter and darker brown wear, some small pale spots and scuffs, and a few faint scratches; the background around the board is a flat gray.
